Appropriately, Baby Steps was my first ever role in content and copywriting. They provided the ideal environment for a budding creative; full support, heaps of autonomy and a safe space for ideas.

I had the privilege of working on everything from social media content to a full rebrand hat required new copy for every webpage.

In the first month of a newborn’s life, parents are very much in the honeymoon stage. Every facial expression prompts hours of interpretation and analysis, and everything your new baby does is absolutely amazing. But all honeymoons must end, and it doesn’t take long for awe to morph into confusion…

We’re often told that parenting is the hardest job we’ll ever have; we’re also told to just relax and enjoy the ride.

The dichotomy on display here has created an epidemic of stress and worry among parents, to the point where many of us are taking parenting way too seriously

Nothing kills the mood quite like a baby. You’ve just brought home a tiny person and all you’ve been able to think about is feeding, sleeping and who’s on nappy duty next.

If the thought of getting down to business hasn’t entered your mind since bub arrived, it’s no problem (in fact, it’s quite common).

The short answer, in most cases, is “probably”. But it depends on how you define ‘normal’.

Many parents (especially new ones) find themselves worrying about their child’s behaviour and if it’s supposed to be happening, asking themselves (and Google) a host of questions that don’t often get answered.
